I would like to say a few words to you and the organization that put on this wonderful “NHL Alumni Hockey Dream Draw.”

From the moment I received your call telling me that I had won this Dream Draw trip, I couldn’t believe what you were telling me. Being a hockey fanatic myself, this was a dream come true. Then finding out that my nephew, Bradley Laneville, was a winner as well by selling me the winning ticket, this was fantastic.

Once I was able to take everything in, it was time to make a phone call to my girlfriend Christine. Unable to hold back, I told her to “pack your bags” that I just had won a trip of a lifetime to watch hockey in Detroit and Tampa Bay. Then I told her that Bradley sold me the ticket, and he get’s the same prize. Both Bradley and I were on cloud nine from that moment on. Family and friends were also excited for us.

Meeting you a few times to go over our itinerary for the upcoming trip, just got us more pumped up and ready to go. I know Bradley and I had a lot of “dreamy” nights about our upcoming trips.

Once in Detroit until you dropped us off at Treasure Island FLA, you took us under your wing and, we feel, you went out of your way to accommodate all of us. Your hospitality and generosity did not go unnoticed by any of us. Your representation of the D.A.R.E. program and the O.P.P. show your dedication to both organizations. They truly have the right man for this position. 

It was a wonderful “dream trip” for our families. As we are huge hockey fans and your NHL stories from your past playing days made this trip something we will cherish forever.

This was a trip that we will be “DREAMING” of for the rest of our lives.

The 2011 NHL Alumni Hockey Dream Draw was a trip of a lifetime. Not only did my son and I get to watch two NHL games in Florida and watch the teams practice, we got to meet the players from the Florida Panthers, the Washington Capitals and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Players from each team took the time to sign our jerseys and even a practice puck. As hockey fans, who could ask for anything more! In between games, we enjoyed the Florida sunshine, went for an airboat ride on the keys, took in a Florida Marlin game and had fun at a local amusement park. The highlight of the trip for my son was meeting his two favorite players, Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin. The highlight of my trip was seeing my son's excitement as he met his hockey idols. Our thanks go out to Paul Harrison for organizing at trip that we will never forget.

My only regret is that we didn't ask for more tickets because they practically sell themselves!  Normally selling tickets of any kind can be a hassle, but these were a breeze.  We'll definitely try to be involved again next year.

Jason and I would like to thank you very much for the wonderful experience that we had on our Dream Draw 2010 Trip.  Mike, Mark and you were a huge part of why our trip was so memorable, being with a wonderful group of people on vacation makes your vacation successful no matter where you go or what you do. I could not have imagined this trip being as great as it was without the people that we were with.

The way that you went out of your way to accommodate all of us, all the time was greatly appreciated and did not go unnoticed by any of us. It was truly a Dream Trip for us as we are huge hockey fans and we loved every single moment that we had. We will be talking about this trip for years to come and it will definitely make it a lot easier for us to sell tickets next year, I already have people wanting to sell extra tickets on next years draw and if I had the tickets right now I could sell a thousand of them on my own. If there is anything that you need from me to help you sell tickets at any time please feel free to let me know, I would be willing to let people know first hand what this is all about. 

It would be fantastic to meet for dinner or drinks anytime you are up our way in Sudbury.  Thank you again for making this trip more than we ever expected it to be.

Hey Paul,

Just wanted to drop you a line thanking you for your efforts in following up with your NHL Dream Draw fundraising idea. We at the Sudbury Referee’s Association appreciate the opportunity your draw has given us to raise a bit of money. The administration of the draw was very easy and we sold all the tickets we requested. We will definitely participate in the Draw again next season. Congratulations to the winners and to you for another successful NHL Dream Draw.
